Thursday Things

I can’t tell if I’m going to like this new Glamour Magazine blog. (So far, it’s kinda lame.) Basically, this girl posts about her dates, asks her readers a multiple choice advice question, then has to do what they say. And oh, she gets paid for it. Ahem.

Happy birthday Paul!

Don’t forget to tell us what you’ve read lately.

I am loving the new Guster album. Their sound is so much mature, and the horns (in some of the songs) are a nice change.

I’m going to Seattle in two weeks. Yay!
- - -
I made brownies last night.

New timewaster.

And finally, two totally unrelated work items: 1. Someone has been peeing on one of the toilet seats in the women’s restroom. How this is possible, I don’t want to know. 2. I accidentally found out that there will be company-wide layoffs in two weeks but my job is safe.

Time Waster of the Day

A new version of that crazy Hapland game. Remember the first version? Have fun, and don’t blame me if it drives you nuts.

Timewaster of the Day

Thanks to Charlie for this timewaster. (I’m linking to it on Charlie’s blog since he wrote out the instructions.) Just a warning. It’s totally frustrating, but we were able to figure it out.

Time Waster of the Day

The Face Transformer–the Apeman and drunk are my favorites thus far. Don’t I make a pretty ape(wo)man?

Super Cool Site of the Day

Google Maps new satellite page. Make sure you click on satellite to get the satellite images. More info here.

Time Waster of the Day

We played this game, The Black Knight, all day at the office yesterday. Totally addictive. Hint: Hold down the mouse to get a more powerful swing.

Time Wasters of the Day

Remember last year when I got everyone addicted to (and frustrated with) Gold Miner? Well…there are two new versions out–Gold Miner SE and Easter Eggin’ (my new fave). Apologies in advance.

Timewaster of the Day

This game called Nanaca Crash. Three notes: 1. It doesn’t work with all mouses (mine is a trackball and it didn’t work), not sure why; 2. Yes, I am aware the instructions are not in English; 3. The sound is really funny. Enjoy!

How I Spent My Wednesday Morning

Playing this game, sent to me by the VP of my department. I’ve been playing it for almost two hours now and I still can’t solve it. And he won’t help me.

Update: Here’s the answer.

Time Wasters of the Day

It’s a Gonzo game. Disclaimer: I’m not responsible for any frustration experienced while playing said game.

Funny sites: Overheard in New York and Overheard in the Office.

Timewaster of the Day

A game called Reverse. And yes, it’s frustrating.

Timewaster of the Day

This game, where the object is to move all of the boy frogs to one side and all of the girl frogs to the other side. I figured out how to do it once and I can’t do it again. Grrr.

Time Waster of the Day

This game, Gold Miner, which had me and my coworkers occupied for much of the afternoon.

Warning: This game is highly addictive. Trust me.

Frustrating Time Waster of the Day

This puzzle sent to me by the VP of my department. Talk about frustrating–it took us 15 minutes to figure out. How’d you do?

Only look at the dice that rolled odd numbers.

Time Waster of the Week

Yesterday, my co-workers and I got a lot of laughs out of this subservient chicken. Check it out.

Time-Waster of the Day

This highly addictive and frustrating game. I’ve made it to level seven, how’d you do?
Update: Made it to level 11!

Interesting Goofball Move of the Day

This has been going around my office via email:

While sitting at your desk, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles. Now, while doing this, draw the number “6″ in the air with your right hand. Your foot will change direction, and there’s not much you can do about it…

Time Waster of the Day

This online game that had my co-workers screaming at me for getting them addicted to such a frustrating thing. Which by the way, only one person was able to complete (he finished level 10). I am proud to say I made it to level two.
