No weekend wrap-up today. The shitty highlights of the past few days include: Getting an email about a memorial service for a coworker from my last job. He’s my age and died of cancer. Rear-ending a car at a stop sign because I was daydreaming. And dropping a knife on my foot.

I’m so sorry to hear that! Last week I rear ended a car while not paying attention… and it was an off duty copy, still in uniform - terrible feeling!!

I accidentally Cut Off Totally Awesome Husband’s Finger last week! Yes, with A Knife! He thought that was pretty Crappy of me. At least he didn’t Rear End My Car as Revenge.

There you go, hope for humanity right there. TDR thinks her hubby is Still ‘totally awesome’ Despite him having the temerity of thinking ill about her cutting off his finger. Just smiles thinking about it, really. Me, I almost constantly running into things, especially with a new Pontiac Vibe. When they changed it out from the Toyota Corolla base, they put a GM tricked out fascia/body on it that makes it doubly hard to see out of. Their Matrix has none of these problems, but we don’t have such a dealership in town, hence the Vibe.
Me, I’ve got a serious ding in the bumper from playing games with the gas pumps down here in Atlanta during the Great Gas Crisis of 2008. But we’ve finally got gas again by the end of this week. Now the wife can come home! Seriously. I’m betting the week gets better from here too. Cheers & Good Luck, ‘VJ’
Poor thing, I sure hope your vehicle gets better soon (repaired) and your foot is okay… I’ve rearended a person TWICE. Once because it was snowing/icy and I thought they were moving, the other time because well… I was not paying attention.
