Yet Another Edition of Boo! Yay!

Things that sucketh:

  • Going into the office early and leaving late.
  • Paying $9 to park at the doctor’s office. And that’s without tipping the (mandatory) valet.
  • The price of gas.
  • The neighbor in the building next door with a drum set.
  • Getting dissed by my 14-year-old Little.
  • People who steal cupcake photos.
  • DirecTV.

Things that rocketh:

  • The annoying neighbors who had the bass on the stereo so high it shook my apartment moved out.
  • Cake balls.
  • People who beat up cupcake photo thieves. (OK fine, I don’t know anyone who does that, but if they did, they would rock.)
  • Trader Joe’s opening within walking distance of my apartment.
  • Green Giant corn in butter sauce.
  • Microwaved Peeps.
  • The kickass letter I started writing that I will send to DirecTV.

As always, feel free to add your own.

getting confirmation on that trader joe’s was seriously the best thing that happened to me all week. I can practically spit on it from my place.

and I wouldn’t be too offended about getting dissed by your little. teenagers are moody and unpredictable. approach them with caution and don’t make any sudden movements.

Paying $9 to park at the doctor’s office. And that’s without tipping the (mandatory) valet.

That is just crazy.

Trader Joe’s within walking distance? Totally awesome. Lucky you.

OMG, my doctor’s office has that stupid expensive mandatory valet, too - and they don’t even validate!

Humph.

$9 for parking at the doctor? Only in L.A.!

There has been quite a controversy about the concept of “Fair Use” and how it applies to bloggers. A Virginia blogger called Snapped Shot got in a lot of trouble for using too many photographs from the Associated Press (for comment and satire), even though he gave them credit. This resulted in a lot of commentary about what “Fair use” means, so it might apply to your pictures (and someone’s unauthorized use) as well. See here for some more detail.

Congrats on the Trader Joes. What you really need, though, is Wegmans. And Verizon FIOS service.

(Speaking of DirecTV, someone on a local DC radio station had a heck of a funny story about them.)

That Cake Ball recipe rocks because if I make it — people will think I am actually a baker! I will totally give you credit, though :)

I don’t think I even pay $9 for parking in a whole year.

People who still photos and blog entries suck! So do companies that charge too much for too little.

Ron -

I love Wegmans! Wegmans should take over the world. I think you can tell, I am deprived of Wegmans. It’s the greatest grocery store ever and I have been to Trader Joes.

Niblets! I second that YAY.

Getting dissed by a teenager? I have been experiencing that in my own home (where I pay all the bills) for several years. Being thin-skinned, I never get used to that, but at least it’s no longer a surprise.

For me . . . sunny weather in the 70s is a YAY.

Oh, and going to see the Foo Fighters tonight . . . big YAY!
