Enough about me, let’s talk about you for a minute (Part III)

It’s that time again. Tell me something. Where are you from? Are you married? Single? What do you do–for fun or for work? How did you make your way to my blog? Anything.

You can read what others spilled back in June and October. Don’t be shy!

Are you going to use this information against me somehow? I am from Long Island home of malls and the TDR but I have lived in Los Angeles since 1999. I am single for the next 65 days and then I’m getting married. I work as a copywriter/editor and in my spare time I play skee ball and eat cookies. I found my way here a long time ago through I think JustJenn or maybe Nanners.

Name: Jenifer
Age: 28
Location of mi casa: Houston, Texas
Marital Status: Legally single, emotionally attached to B - my main squeeze of two years.
What do I do for money: Software Consultant
What do I do for fun: I cook, entertain my cat by allowing her to rule my life, entertain my boyfriend by letting him think he rules my life, I post on my blog, and I try to not think about evil baked goods which REALLY rule my life. Oh, and I read your blog.

How did I get here: Blame it all on Deb. I am a huge fan of Smitten Kitchen and use her blog roll for pure entertainment. I’m too lazy to find my own blog friends.

Anything: I’ve had my face plastered on the Jumbotron in Times Square and I’ve had the privilege of chasing B2 bombers, courtesy of the US Air Force. Fun times, fun times.

Hi, I’m a 34 year old married woman from New York City. I can’t remember where I saw your blog, but I’ve been reading it daily. You remind me of me sometimes. I too met many toads before I met the one– and I met him on Jdate no less- so it can work! Anyway– I’m glad your tonsils are better and keep on writing! Thanks for bringing some fun to my day with your blog.

My name is Ilana, I actually started reading your blog because of Sharon (see above). We check in with each other at work to make sure we are caught up with your life (which yes, is weird). Anyway, keep writing, it serves as a great break in an otherwise boring day.

Oooh, it’s like a personal ad!

Lessee: I’m 34, I’m marrying the Skee-Ball King above, although minus the cookies as the dress I’m looking at is less than forgiving. I’m a TV writer, mostly animation and mostly unemployed (I have a movie/DVD coming out on Cartoon Network, tho). I frolic with my pit bull Daisy the Wonderdog and have a Fictional Detective Agency with Will and dye my hair unnatural colors (it’s currently a fetching shade of grape) for fun. And we will be making an appearance tonight, provided I can get this zit on my chin under control.

Your blog (and cupcakes) came highly recommended by Lawgeek. I never comment because I’m lazy.

I am 23 and in grad school getting my PhD. I live in Raleigh, NC now, but I grew up in SC. Your blog helps me procrastinate from going into the lab and actually doing research. I am getting married in October, so I am currently in the throes of wedding planning…time consuming, expensive, but fun. I don’t have a real job yet, I guess, but my hubby and I are both engineers. We like to be nerds and do puzzles and word games and board games and stuff. We also like to cook together, too, so I enjoy your baking blog. The hubby doesn’t really do the blog thing. Believe it or not, I have learned all sorts of stuff from your blog. Everyone’s life experiences are so unique. Glad you’re feeling better, and I hope you keep writing :)

I’m a 27-year-old grad student (education) in the greater Boston area. I’m a single Jew who sometimes dabbles in in JDate-land and found out about your blog from my friend Jess, who’s also a single Jew who sometimes dabbles in JDate-land. When I’m not teaching, I like to enjoy all that Boston has to offer (much more enjoyable when the windchill is above zero — today is NOT an enjoyable Boston day!), read, play outside, catch live music, be social, etc.

alright, I am the aforementioned Jess (hi Sara!). I have commented before but never properly introduced myself so, hi Hilary! I am 24 and live in Toronto. As Sara said I am a single Jew who has spent way too much time on Jdate (and speeddating and all those other fun events) with no real success although great stories.
I found this blog through Esther’s which I found one day, bored at work, when I did a search for Jdate stories. So glad I found you both, along with others, as it’s comforting to read about others who are going through the same thing as me as…and it gives me hope that there is some light at the end of the tunnel.
For work I am a corporate librarian and for fun I love to read, go to concerts, travel, take courses, spend time with friends etc.

The amount of candles I last blew out on my cake (had I had one): 24
Relationship Status: Smitten kitten for about three years now
State in which I was born & raised and now pay taxes: Texas
How I earn the money to pay taxes: Insurance Agent. (Feel free to throw things at me, I completely understand the mass disliking of Insurance personnel.)
Thing I’d rather be doing than selling insurance: Writing. I desperately want to work for a newspaper, and have for as long as I can remember.
Things I do while daydreaming about my dream job: I bake- a LOT. I cook, but only for other people. I live on crackers, cheese and granola bars, but I enjoy cooking extravagant meals for those who DO enjoy food immensely. I read religiously, I talk too much, I write everything down, and I collect shoes.
Stuff you don’t care about but I’ll add anyway: I’m obsessed with the color red, I’m OCD about cleanliness and germs, I’m a perfectionist, a worry-wart, too sentimental and sensitive for my own good sometimes and very funny…so I’ve been told. :)
How I was directed to your blog: I googled “Best Sugar Cookie recipe ever” and stumbled upon your awesomeness.

Hello!
Just found your website but for the life of me can’t remember where. Currently 31, childless, and getting ready to graduate from college with a degree in accounting. Spent my young 20’s married to a cheater. (which is the answer to “she’s 31 and just now graduating. why?” Met my current boyfriend (of 2.5 years) through Match but like you went through a million duds.

PS LOVE your baking blog

Hey hon! Nice to see you tonight, and congrats on your recovery and return to life and civilization! Anyway, I live in LA, used to live in NYC for a LONG time, and was born in Perth Amboy, NJ. Single, of course. About to turn 36. I sing lots of karaoke and love to drink and eat and be merry! :-)

How I came across your website: searching for a recipe of something, which led me to someone else’s blog that linked you.
I’ve also have been a fan of Noshwithme site, but never knew you own a personal website.

Anyways, hello from Malaysia!

Hiya

I’m 25, I’m in London, I’m a Jewish girl who likes to bake. I’m currently studying to become a Paramedic. Yeah a Jewish female Paramedic in London, I think I may be the only one! I have your baking blog bookmarked but not this one so I always come and look at this blog via your baking blog. I love reading about your life, although I worry that I may be online stalking you as I check both your blogs daily for updates. I think I originally found your baking blog about a year ago when I searched for a cupcake recipe. I’ve never left a comment before, but I feel a little less of a lurking creep now that I have.

I am twenty-seven, I live with my True Love and The Best Dog Ever, plus two roommates, who will not be a part of my life six months from now, if all goes well. I adore baking; my family begs for my tweed cakes at every family function. For Christmas, my True Love gave me Francine, who is the very light pink, money donated towards breast cancer research, Kitchen-Aid mixer. I love Francine because she is both pink AND a Kitchen-Aid; in other words, she is PERFECT. I am currently re-evaluating my career and what it is, precisely, that I both want to do and am qualified for. I follwed a link from Be the Boy above, and have enjoyed popping around your site.

Hello. I am from Baltimore. I am a Jewish man who is single never been married. Still single after doing Jdate for a while. Fed up with JDate which is how I found your blog. I googled “Jdate Sucks”. Up your blog popped. I was actually looking for an organized site. Perhaps with tips. Perhaps just to bitch. Ok, probably to bitch. As for my likes: travel, cooking, nice restaurants, dive reataurants with great food, dogs, red wine.

I just came across your blog whilst looking for cupcake recipes. i love to bake, especially cupcakes.. i’m a single gal living in london, i’m not jewish but can relate to your ’stuff’ going on. loved the cupcake courier tho they don’t deliver to london. i had exactly that problem just two days ago when i baked 24 cupcakes for a charity fund raiser and had to devise a way of transporting them (on public transport). a large chinese bamboo steamer works well in the absence of the cupcake courier for all those cupcake lovers who live outside the U.S!
