Thursday Things

Are Julie and I the only ones who watched the season premiere of What About Brian? If you saw it, what did you think? Seemed a little far fetched to me.

In other TV news, Project Runway rocked. Do you think Jeffrey cheated? I think so.

Tomorrow two of my friends are coming into town and I am so excited! It’s been a couple of years since the three of us have been together in the same city. One of the girls is pregnant, and I have a feeling the other may surprise me with pregnancy news as well.

In dating news (ooh, got your attention, didn’t I?), I have a date for Tuesday night with a guy who thus far, checks out quite well. No red flags. No weird phone conversations or emails. No crazy girlfriends emailing me. Anyway, please think good thoughts.

Remember how the other day I said the new antibiotics were making me jittery? Well, I went home from work early on Tuesday because I was extremely jittery and nauseous and feeling really out of it. I called the doctor who then lowered the dose and increased the number of days. All good, right?

That night, I relaxed at home, talked to Eve, my mom, and my sister, made dinner, took my medicine, and found a comfy spot on the couch. Then I realized oh fuck, I took a second dose of the antibiotic when I took the second dose of the antiviral drug. (Did I mention I was really out of it?) I called the pharmacist in a panic, who basically said I’ll be very jittery and dizzy and nauseous (which of course, is exactly what I was hoping to avoid with the whole lower dose thing). I got no sleep that night. I watched TV until about 2:00 a.m. (my Tivo is now empty), tossed and turned, would fall asleep for about two minutes then jerk awake, fall asleep again, then wake up dripping wet with sweat. I called in sick to work (which really sucks because I need those sick days for my tonsillectomy) and slept Wednesday away, save for the I’ll Prove My Baby Is Your 14th Child episode of Maury.

And to top it off, I still have a stupid sore throat.

And finally, how about them Tigers, hmm?

Totally Awesome Boyfriend would never Admit It, but he (Was Coerced Into) watched Project Runway last night and he, too, thinks Jeffrey Cheated! In fact, he feels So Strongly about it, that he is going to get A Neck Tatoo that Says So!

Hil-Glad to know you are feeling better, and you have a date. Woo hoo. I am so jealous your tivo is empty, mine has 5 weeks of tv shows that I need to catch up on…calling in sick sounds really good right about now.

Please oh please say we weren’t the only ones to watch What About Brian…I don’t want it to be cancelled…although last season was better.

Feel better soon!

so sorry you’re still feeling sick, but hopefully this will all end when you get your tonsils out next month!

i watched “what about brian?” what can i say, they hooked me with the lead-ins. i don’t think it’s that great a show, but i’m still kinda addicted to it. and speaking of my tv addictions, project runway was so good - i gasped out loud at the previews for next week, with jeffrey crying. i don’t know what to think about him - i lean towards thinking he had help just with the sewing, but i’d still feel horribly for him if he didn’t get to show the products of his 2 months of work after all that, though i obviously understand why that would be the case.

and grey’s anatomy tonight? so good. as always. i think addison has become my new favorite character, oddly enough. i just love all of her interactions with every other character.

and now i’ve just made it very obvious just how much tv i watch these days. :)

You poor thing. Hopefully soon this throat stuff will be but a distant memory for you. Good news about the date though - at least you aren’t hibernating. It’s not easy to keep at it under the best of circumstances.

I watched What About Brian and yes…it did seem a bit far-fetched. But if I suspend my disbelief just a little tiny bit, I realize how excited I am to find out what happens on Monday night. I’m such a sucker for these types of on-going TV romances that don’t ever really fall into place until the show finale…the kinds the keep us stringing along forever. Carrie and Big. Rachel and Ross. Meredith and McDreamy. You get the idea. I’m a sucker for it…
