Thursday Things

I’m still looking for someone to play tennis with (around a 3.0-3.5 level). So, if I know you, and you know someone who plays, please let me know. I’m looking forward to getting back into playing after the whole tonsil thing has been dealt with.

I heard a rumor the Gelsons in Century City is selling Sweet Lady Jane treats. This could be potentially dangerous for me.

Remember DG? He and I exchanged IMs the other day. He asked if I was still interested in seeing him again; I told him not if it meant another month between dates. He then asked if I was free either night this weekend and said he’d make it up to me, he’s sorry, he’s been working 90 hours a week, etc. I told him I already have plans for Saturday, but am free Friday, so we made plans. Then, he of course said it all depended on what time he got off work. I told him to forget it, and to just call me when he knows his schedule, or when they go on hiatus. He then said “I’ll call you tonight.” The phone did not ring, not that I’m surprised.

I stumbled across this post about one girl’s crazy experience with our airport security. Or apparently, lack thereof.

I successfully enabled the WEP encryption on my router, thanks to one of the guys at work who told me what to do in less time than it took the D-Link tech support woman in India to confirm my first name. My connection is so much faster now, I’m pretty sure one of my neighbors is going to be ordering DSL of their own shortly.

The Guster concert is in two weeks, I’m so excited! However, in sad concert news, I had to pass up tickets to the November BNL concert because I will hopefully be eating lots of popsicles and watching bad TV while they’re on stage.

I bought an all-in-one printer that I am so excited about.

Project Runway. Jeffrey still bugs. Laura had a larger pregnant belly last week, what gives. I want Michael to win. And in other TV news, The Amazing Race starts Sunday; set your Tivos!

DG, IMO, falls under the classification of “not ready to be dating”. I’ve met a lot of people like that.

And I like that printer/scanner thingie. Congrats… when I have some $ again, I might get one too.

I am so mystified by Laura’s pregnancy. Theoretically she didn’t even realize she was pregnant until the “everyday woman” challenge, but she seems visibly quite far along. Puzzling.

I think the reason laura’s looked bigger last week is because she showed her belly by tying her shirt above it - and this week she just wore black dresses. we know how slimming black can be. so I think its just a trick of the eye.

please, please, please let michael win. otherwise there is no justice in the world. he’s hands down the most talented, while also being the most modest, smartest, sweetest one there. he’s what my parents would call “a class act.”

I just wanted to say that I’m very happy for you with the WEP encryption development. Congrats on that.

I just got An All In One Printer, myself, and I Love it! ! And I hope Michael — as he suggested above –gets An All In One, too.

Michael is awesome! I can’t wait to see his entire line on the final. As for Amazing Race, that show is brilliant! and totally addictive.

I’m not a big fan of those all in one printer jobys. The one I had before I got into design work was just awful. I hope yours is better.

I like Jeff on Project Runway. He’s a jerk wad but he is highly creative. As for Michael he is a real obvisous choice for winner. I don’t like him much.

Don’t worry about being tempted by the Sweet Lady Jane treats at Gelson’s. If they’re selling them, I will have eaten them all before you get there. I love those cakes!

As for DG, it sounds like you handled it perfectly. As Michael commented, DG’s not ready to be dating.

You know what I think about her pregnancy? When I was pregnant with my second son, I was only a few weeks pregnant and I looked FIVE months pregnant. They said that the second time you are already “stretched out” and start showing bigger and earlier. Freakin’ great. So imagine Laura is on her SIXTH child, right?

Good work on the WEP thing. My high school had a “downtown campus” computer class in an office/apartment building. They always knew their wireless connection was down because they got notice from others in the building.
