Things That Are Annoying Me Today

In bulleted form and in random order:

  • There’s a new employee at my office that works on another floor. Whenever I see him, he smiles and says, “Hi Hil.” I have no idea who told him to call me Hil rather than Hilary, but it’s beyond annoying.
  • Sitting at my desk today, I thought to myself, “Ohmygod, I so don’t want to be sitting at a desk forever. I need to figure out what I want to be when I grow up.” What fun.
  • My Jdate subscription expired last week and I have three new messages waiting for me. Odds are they’re “missed IMs” from men old enough to be my father, but then again, one of them could be from my prince charming. Or not.
  • Was talking to a married friend last night. She mentioned how her friends are always giving her and her husband a hard time because they only have one child. Apparently, their friends are already on baby number three. Lovely.

Happy Friday.

I hope your day gets less annoying!

Hmmm…so if, G-d-willing, I ever get married, the people who’ve been asking, “So didja meet anyone yet?” are going to start asking, “So, didja have any kids yet?” Great.

just goes to prove: you have to be happy within first, ’cause there will always be someone trying to put ya down about something.

AL, there’s no way to avoid that. At yesterday’s parade, I saw two women I grew up with: at the age of 33, each of them has four kids.

That’s never going to be me, and that’s something I’ll just have to be fine with.

4 kids?!? Imagine the cost when all four college. I’m happy to spoil one.
