Yes, Elise, L.A. has a subway. Although it’s really asinine because they spent a ton of money on it, but they didn’t design the subway stops with turnstiles like in New York, so even though paying for a ticket isn’t technically optional, it certainly seems like it is because all they have are automated ticket machines on the side of the station when you walk in. But they hardly ever go around the trains to check and see who’s paid for tickets.
