Plagiarism Sucks and Plagiarizers Are So Not Cool

Earlier today, someone wrote a comment on one of my February posts. I thought the comment was odd, so using the email address he left, I attempted to find out more about this individual. Well, my search led me to his blog which contained the copy from my friend’s Valentine card (purchased at Soolip) and my An Open Letter To My Soulmate post.

Both, totally unattributed.

You suck.

Update: The Plagiarizer added this–*Portions of this blog were inspired by or borrowed from Hilary and Amy. Thank you Annabell!

Inspired by or borrowed from? More like written by.

You still suck.

Lame. Lame. Lame.

How sad when you have to usurp another’s creativity as your own.

This is perhaps the danger of the blogosphere, where people think they can act like journalists without the restraints of the institution. But you still have to give credit where credit is due, man.

he totally plagirized your stuff. I wanted to give him a piece of my mind…but I didn’t want to “join” his space. What a jerk he is!@!!
Sorry, honey…

I hope you left comments on his blog saying that it was your material so that his readers know he sucks!

I emailed him, so I’m guessing he’ll take it down soon. We shall see.

Ugh. I joined, left a comment - but he has to approve comments before they post, and apparently he disapproved mine.

Oy. Here’s the response he sent me:

“You’re right of course…I didn’t credit the source here as openly as I should…shame on me, but I intended to and will make it known. Bad Tao, thank you for getting me back on the straight path. I owe several people apologies..no excuse but I’m just not doing well these days. Just curious…how did you find me? take care and many blessings~”

Yeah, he took it down. He is calling someone Nazis? I got the creeps reading his blog. Let’s not go there ever again!

Yay, he finally removed it. And yeah, his revised post is a bit, um, odd.

Thanks to everyone for your help!
