Senior Year of High School, a Meme*
What year was it?
1991-1992
What were your three favorite bands or musical artists?
Oingo Boingo, Depeche Mode, Morrissey
What was your favorite outfit?
I can’t remember. JAB and mom, help me out with this one!
What was up with your hair?
One word: Jewfro. It was to my shoulders and curly. Ick.
Who were your best friends?
JAB and Sara.
Where did you work?
During school breaks, I worked at La Petite Boulangerie (it was a bakery owned by Mrs. Fields).
What did you do after school?
Hung out with JAB at my dad’s office (conveniently located near a certain pizza place, ahem, JAB) and looked for a certain pizza delivery boy for said friend.
Did you take the bus?
Nope. I drove my 1979 beige Volvo with red interior and a rearview mirror that fell off often enough that my dad went to a Volvo junkyard to get me a “new” one. Either that, or JAB would drive us in her Cimarron.
Who did you have a crush on?
A tall guy on the soccer team with a grey patch in his hair who was a year younger than me.
Did you fight with your parents?
All the time!
Who did you have a CELEBRITY crush on?
Brad Pitt. This is before he was famous. JAB and I discovered him actually. He was on a tv show called Glory Days and played a journalist named Walker Lovejoy. Unfortunately the show didn’t even run for a full season, but we were in love.
Did you smoke cigarettes?
Nope. Never have.
Did you lug all of your books around in your backpack because you were too nervous to find your locker?
We used our lockers. Especially when they were assigned alphabetically. Right JAB?
Did you have a clique?
I wouldn’t call it a clique. Our graduating class was pretty friendly all around.
Did you have “The Max” like Zach Kelly and Slater?
We went to Round Table Pizza after every football game. Also, JAB and I seemed to go to Red Robin a lot. Not sure why.
Admit it, were you popular?
I got along with everyone. And I think I got recognized a lot because I was on our school tv show.
Who did you want to be just like?
Hmm. No one I can think of.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
A journalist.
Where did you think you’d be at the age you are now?
Married with kids. Obviously, I’m neither married nor with kids. Oh well.
