I Voted and the Poll Worker Copped a Feel

I went to my polling place on my way to the office this morning and was quite surprised to find about 20 people in line at 7:30 a.m. The line went quickly, save for the one moron who obviously hadn’t read any of the propositions prior to voting. I, like the majority of voters, went in there with my sample ballot filled out and ready to partake in the magic of InkaVote.

On a side note, I think I figured out why the senior citizens like to volunteer at the polls–the man who collected my ballot also gave me an I Voted sticker which he excitedly stuck on my chest. I think he enjoyed it a little too much.

Heh. The 30-something woman who had stickers at my polling place simply handed a sticker to each person. My voting experience was utterly uneventful. But exciting nonetheless, because, y’know, I voted.

The guy who ran my polling place was dressed in one of those tuxed T-shirts and looked like Newt Gingrich. Only in LA.

Ugh… voting was hell for me. It took me an hour and a half to get through the line. Bleah.
